Industrial Fuels

Coal

Coal is the largest source of energy for the generation of electricity worldwide. Coal can also be converted into synthetic fuels equivalent to gasoline or diesel by several different processes. Coal (by liquefaction technology)   is one of the backstop resources that could limit escalation of oil prices and mitigate the effects of transportation energy shortage that will occur under peak oil. We supply different grades of coal both domestic and imported (Indonesian origin).

Coke (coking coal)

Coke is used as a fuel and as a reducing agent in smelting iron ore in a blast furnace. A low-ash, low-sulfur and a high carbon content and combusts producing little or no smoke. We are competent in providing met-coke (lump-coke, nut-coke and coke fines).

Pet-Coke

As fuel (fuel grade coke), its high heat and low ash content make it a decent fuel for power generation in coal fired boilers.  Also used for the manufacture of cells, electrodes, etc. (anode grade coke). Needle coke is a highly crystalline petroleum coke used in the production of electrodes for the aluminium, steel and titanium smelting industry industries and is particularly valuable because the electrodes must be replaced regularly. Please write to us for the required grade pet-coke.

Charcoal

Charcoal is far superior fuel to coke, however, because it burns hotter and has no sulfur. Due to its porosity it is sensitive to the flow of air and the heat generated can be moderated by controlling the air flow to the fire. For this reason charcoal is an ideal fuel for a forge and is still widely used by blacksmiths and low intensity boilers. We are the manufacturers of wood charcoal based at Hyderabad.
