Mines and Minerals

Bauxite, Lateritic bauxites

Bauxite is an aluminium ore and is the main source of aluminium and laterrite comes as its substitute ore for aluminium. Laterites are soil types rich in iron, aluminium, nickel, quartz and oxides of titanium, tin, manganese, gold and silver. We have good sources for bauxite and lateritic-bauxites.

Manganese is a silvery-gray metal that resembles iron. It is hard and very brittle, difficult to fuse, but easy to oxidize. Manganese is a metal with important industrial metal alloy uses, particularly in stainless steels and second largely for aluminium alloy making. Manganese dioxide is used as the cathode material in zinc-carbon and alkaline batteries. Manganese dioxide is also used in the manufacture of oxygen and chlorine as well as used as pigments for the coloring of ceramics and glass. We supply and prepare Ferro-manganese and manganese dioxide.

Iron ore

Iron is the world's most commonly used metal - steel, of which iron ore is the key ingredient, representing almost 95% of all metal used per year. It is used primarily in structural engineering applications and in maritime purposes, automobiles, and general industrial applications (machinery). Mining iron ore is a high volume low margin business, as the value of iron is significantly lower than base metals. It is highly capital intensive, and requires significant investment in infrastructure such as rail in order to transport the ore from the mine to a freight ship. For these reasons, iron ore production is concentrated in the hands of a few major players. Silica Sand

naturally occurring sand composed of finely divided rock and minerals particles. Sand is the principal component in common glass and sand casting as foundry sand and fine grade sand for Sandblasting where it serves as an abrasive in cleaning, preparing, and polishing, most importantly use as building material.
